Immaculate Conception, December 8, falls on the Second Sunday of Advent this year. USCCB indicates it will be a holy day of obligation Monday, Dec. 9. Cardinal Gregory has decreed all Roman Catholics of the Archdiocese of Washington, no matter where they may be, and all other Roman Catholics actually present in the Archdiocese on the feast day, are dispensed from the obligation to attend Mass on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024. A medical mission trip is forming to St. Paul Clinic in El Rosario, Honduras. The trip is scheduled for February 10-17, 2025. Please prayerfully consider going. We need doctors and nurses, medical assistants and interpreters, and those willing just to help and enjoy the people of Honduras.
