Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023 On entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed. He said to them, “Do not be amazed! The Easter Season (April 9 to May 28, 2023)celebrates Christ’s resurrection from the dead, his victory over death. Christ’s Ascension into heaven is celebrated on the 7th Sunday after Easter, this year May 21. Also referred to as Eastertide, the Easter season is the period of 50 days, spanning from Easter Sunday to Pentecost Sunday, where Jesus sends the Holy Spirit upon the apostles to spread the Gospel to all nations.
