The mystery of Christmas dares to say that the Creator became a creature in order to save the creatures that turned away. This is the heart of our identity as Christians. Adopted prodigals are made new creations. God, who is Love, holds nothing back. Why? So that Love can dwell with us and in us, and we may be empowered to do the same.

A PRAYER FOR CHRISTMAS
O, God, our loving Father, help us rightly to remember the birth of Jesus, that we may share in the song of the angels, the gladness of the shepherds, and the worship of the wise men. May Christmas morning make us happy to be your children and Christmas evening bring us to our beds with grateful thoughts, forgiving and forgiven, for Jesus’ sake.
