Beware of suspicious email - As you know, scammers are very technology savvy. Some have created fake email that appears to be from Pastors and/or Parishes across the country requesting gift cards, money or personal information. There have been fake email messages that appear to be from our Pastor but are not. Unfortunately there is no way to block these fake messages. Our Pastor will never email parishioners looking for gift cards, money or personal information and would never send a business email from a private account such as AOL or Gmail. Always verify with Saint Paul in person or by phone (301-253-2027) any suspicious request.
Please be vigilant, do not open a link or take any action before you verify any suspicious email, mail, text, phone call, on-line request or person at your door.
If you have been a victim of a scam you can file an online complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, visit https://www.ftc.gov/ and/or contact the police department.
