Interested in becoming Catholic?
OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults)
Adults interested in joining the Catholic Church or wanting to learn more about the Catholic Faith are invited to participate in a faith-sharing process designed to acquaint them with our Catholic tradition, introduce them to our community, and help them discern the Lord's call in their lives. OCIA meets weekly on Sundays after the 8:30am Mass in the Parish Center starting in September and continues to meet until a few weeks after Easter Sunday. Please contact our Director of Religious Education, Matt Curley at [email protected] if you are interested in becoming Catholic!
Adult Confirmation Class
This is for any adult Catholic who has been baptized, made their first confession, and has received their first Holy Communion but has yet to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Classes begin in the Easter Season and participants will receive the sacrament of Confirmation on Pentecost Sunday with the Cardinal in Washington, DC. If you are interested, please contact our Director of Religious Education, Matt Curley at [email protected]
Adult Faith Study Groups
You are welcome to participate in Saint Paul Adult Faith Study Groups. Maybe you’ve been Catholic your entire life. Maybe you’re just beginning to explore the Catholic Faith. Wherever you may be in your journey, you will be profoundly moved by the beauty and the richness of the Catholic Church.
Adult Faith Formation: Nurturing Life-long Learning
Our mission is to implement the vision presented in the United States Bishops' pastoral plan
Our Hearts Were Burning Within Us and in our own diocesan Action Plan.
As the Bishops' pastoral plan indicates:
We seek to form parishes that are vitally alive in the faith. These communities
will provide a parish climate and an array of activities and resources designed
to help adults more fully understand and live their faith.
We seek to form adults who actively cultivate a lively baptismal and Eucharistic spirituality with a powerful sense of mission and apostolate. Nourished by word, sacrament, and communal life, the will witness and share the Gospel in their homes, neighborhoods, places of work, and centers of culture. (OHWB, #17).
May God Bless You on your spiritual journey.
